Nick Van Pooss Visits Newcastle Depot
Nick Van Pooss, General Manager of Evolution, made an insightful visit to one of our depots in Newcastle. He gave our dedicated traffic controllers business updates. Glenn Ballenden's return to work after a catastrophic occupational injury was likewise recognised by the entire company. The entire staff also welcomed new team members Vince Gaeta as Newcastle Depot Manager and Serge Mendez as National Operations Manager. The team also appreciates the efforts of stand-in managers Ian Schramm and Brett Pilgrim.
A large group of approximately 30 employees attended, enjoyed a sausage sizzle, and had the opportunity to question top management about their roles and the company's future objectives. A lively interactive event was capped off with an encouraging speech from industry veteran Brett Pilgrim.

ECM Team at the Australian Small Bridges Conference
Exciting News! ECM had an amazing time at the 11th Australian Small Bridges Conference held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 16th and 17th.
Chris Peel was our main representative, supported by Ben Spletter and Reece Allen from our Sydney depot. It was a fantastic experience connecting with companies, suppliers, contractors, and industry stakeholders all in one place.
We learned a lot and made plenty of valuable connections. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success! Stay tuned as we continue to grow and build bridges together.

Traffic Controller, Robert Berner (Right).
Today, Friday 28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work (World Day) and Workers' Memorial Day.
Any fatality at work is unacceptable. Australian data shows that in 2021, 169 workers were fatally injured at work in Australia.
Health at Work Day is a good time to recognise the importance of work health and safety to prevent any work-related fatalities and injuries.
This yearโs theme for World Day is โA safe and healthy working environment is a fundamental principle and right at workโ.
Evolution is committed to safety in the workplace as most of our work is in a high-risk environment.
