Course Details
To renew your Traffic Management Plan Implementation Card, you must complete the Department of Transport and Main Roads approved training program.
Your Queensland Traffic Management Plan Implementation Card must be renewed every 3 years.
The Traffic Management Plan Implementation course will provide the skills and knowledge required to set out, monitor and close traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes in civil construction and maintenance.
Course delivery
This 1-day course comprises lectures, group discussions & activities covering the following topics:
- Legislative framework and compliance requirements
- Risk management
- Identify, manage, report, and monitor identified risks & hazards at a worksite.
- Worksite safety procedures
- Access and interpret Traffic Management Plans and Traffic guidance Schemes.
- Apply traffic management plans.
- Installing and removing signs and devices in accordance with traffic guidance
- Traffic flow and traffic volume requirements
- Reporting incidents
- Worksite environmental considerations
At the end of the course, participants will be required to complete a theory assessment.
Attendance Requirements
Students must provide to the trainer on the day -
- A white card
- A current Driver’s license valid in Queensland.
- A current Traffic Management Implementation card.
Students cannot be under (or appear to be under) the influence of medication, alcohol, illicit drugs, or substances or are adversely affected by fatigue.
Students must comply with all requirements in the Student Handbook
Certification
- Upon completing all required RIIWHS302E Implement Traffic Management Plans Renewal course components, participants receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302E Implement Traffic Management Plans.
- Once you complete both the RIIWHS302E Implement Traffic Management Plans and the Working in Proximity to Traffic Part 1 & 2, you will be issued a Wallet-sized TMI card valid for 3 years. You need this card to operate as a TMI on Queensland roads.
